Arrangements for Fr Alexander’s Funeral



Fr Alexander Nadson passed away on 15 April 2015 in Barnet Hospital, London.

Below is information about funeral service which will take place at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on 29 April at 11 am. Memorial donations may be made to the Belarusian Catholic Mission or Skaryna Belarusian Library as described below.

Funeral service: 1100, Wednesday 29 April, St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church (279 High Road, East Finchley, London N2 8HG).

Followed by interment in the Islington and St Pancras Cemetery opposite the church. The burial plot is on Roman Road within the cemetery; there is a map here. The nearest tube station is East Finchley on the High Barnet branch of the Northern Line; from there take the 263 bus northwards along the East Finchley High Road to the Oak Lane stop.

Flowers may be delivered in advance to the undertakers (most florists will do this for you): A.W. Luck & Sons, 3 Church Lane, East Finchley, London N2 8DX, tel. 020 88832429. Flowers do not have to be sent to them; you can take them with you to the service and then leave them at the graveside.

Donations to the church to defray the expenses of the funeral – cheques payable to “Westminster RC Diocese Trustee Belarusian”. Donations to the Skaryna Library in memory of Fr Alexander – cheques payable to “The F Skaryna Byelorussian Library and Museum”. Donations are voluntary. If you do not have cheques and wish to make a donation, cash is acceptable – just make sure to put it in an envelope clearly marked to show that you wish to make a donation to either the church or the library or cash in person to Karalina Matskevich or Alena Senka. Alternatively, you can mail the check to Fr. Serge Stasievich, Marian House, Holden Avenue, London N12 8HY.
