Svetlana Alexievich, Nobel Prize Laureate in Literature, 2015
Stanislau Shushkevich, the first head of independent state of Belarus in 1991-1994, Corresponding member of the Belarusian Academy of Sciences, Doctor in Physics and Mathematics.
Dr Valery Huracheuski, physicist, former Head of Department of Science, former Head of Science, State Committee on Chernobyl, Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus.
Dr Vadim Zelenkov, physicist, formerly with International Sakharov Institute of Radioecology, Minsk, now Belarus State University.
